Caring for gentry ceramics.
- Due to the ability to absorb odors, it is better to use terracotta dishes selectively: for fish dishes - separately, for dairy - separately.
- Dip the pot in which you are going to cook, together with the lid, in cold water for about 15 minutes. The pores absorb moisture and the food will turn out juicier.
- And in order for the dish to have a steamed effect, fill the container with hot water for the same 15 minutes.
- Cooking in a pot does not burn, so you can cook without the use of fats.
- Terracotta perfectly withstands high and low temperatures, which allows it to be used in ovens, electric and gas ovens.
- At the same time, it does not withstand temperature differences, so it is advisable to put the dishes on an open fire, cold in a hot oven or heat food in it.
- To brew coffee on a gas stove in a clay cezve, use a divider.
- If the dish thickens, add only warm liquid. The pot may crack from cold.
- It is desirable to wash living ceramics with a minimum amount of synthetic products so that they do not absorb the smell. Warm water with baking soda is best.
- It is advisable to ventilate the washed dishes.
- Before putting the pot in the closet, make sure it is really dry.
- The earthenware jug is covered with mold - it does not matter. Roast it well in the oven, then wash it in warm water with soda and dry it.
Do the same to get rid of persistent odor. Repeat if necessary.
